(LibertySons.org) – Some political experts have compared Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to Ralph Nader in the 2000 presidential election. Nader was dubbed a “spoiler” in the race and is often blamed for former Vice President Al Gore’s loss. RFK Jr. recently lashed out at former President Donald Trump after he pointed out that the famous Kennedy could cost him the election.
The problem between the two men began when Trump posted on TRUTH Social and railed against RFK Jr.’s candidacy. The former president called the independent candidate a “Democrat Plant” who is in the race to help take votes away from him.
Trump went on to say that if anyone votes for RFK Jr., it “would essentially be a WASTED PROTEST VOTE” and that it will only hurt Democrats if Republicans know the truth about who he is and pointed out Kennedy’s policies on the environment, immigration, and military.
RFK Jr. responded to Trump’s allegations by saying the presumptive Republican nominee is “frightened” and sounds “unhinged.” He said Trump’s criticisms were “a barely coherent barrage of wild and inaccurate claims” that he should resolve in a debate. RFK Jr. then tried to bait the former president by telling him not to “be panicked to meet [him] on that stage.”
The former environmental lawyer said he was going to show Trump’s supporters how he betrayed them and “colluded” with President Joe Biden and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) to fund the war in Ukraine. Further, he accused Trump of allowing others to control him and allegedly increased the national debt by the widest margin in history.
RFK Jr. accused Trump of promising to drain the Washington DC swamp but filling “his administration with swamp creatures” and destroying the Constitution. He concluded by challenging the former president to a debate again.
Trump hasn’t responded to the attack as of April 30.
