Republican Attacked With Fake Blood

(LibertySons.org) – From its bloody beginnings, the Israel-Hamas War has drawn passionate protests from supporters of both sides all around the world. However, sometimes passions escalate a peaceful protest into something criminal. On Monday, November 27, protesters angry about Rep. David Valadao’s (R-CA) support for Israel attacked his Hanford, California, office using fake blood and posters reading, “Murdered by Israel.”

Valadoa condemned the attack in a post on X, formerly Twitter, later that evening. The Congress member said he strongly supported the right to protest peacefully. Yet, he condemned violence and vandalism. The Californian GOP lawmaker told Fox News Digital that the attack happened just before staff arrived to open the office on Monday. He added that the office had “filed the proper reports with” Capitol Police and local authorities.

On November 29, Valadao posted a clip to X, formerly Twitter, from his interview with host Todd Piro of “Fox & Friends First” about his and his constituents’ reactions to the anti-Israeli attack in the sleepy Central Valley of California. Valadao told supporters he wouldn’t change his position. He said he planned to continue supporting Israel and working to eliminate Hamas from the region.

However, he said something positive emerged due to the attack because constituents came together to show their support for Israel. He said he had received many texts and calls from “people really frustrated […] saying they supported me.” He vowed he would continue to support Israel vocally. He told Piro, “It was actually a positive response from constituents in general.”

The Fox host pointed out that Valadao’s rural district didn’t include a large Jewish contingent. The lawmaker said he saw it as an example of how people of many different faiths were banding together to support the people of Israel. Yet, both Piro and Valadao noted a growing number of antisemitic incidents nationwide.
