(LibertySons.org) – Stars flocked to the long-awaited Fontainebleau Las Vegas Hotel and Casino opening on Wednesday, December 13. The event drew names like Cher, Sylvester Stallone, Eva Longoria, Keith Urban, Justin Timberlake, and Lenny Kravitz, to name a few. Yet, reality television fans and political commentators from both sides of the aisle took to social media outraged after seeing photos of Kim Kardashian and Ivanka Trump palling around together at the high-profile social event.
Trump posted a series of Fontainebleau Las Vegas images to her Instagram account with a caption that said she was bringing Miami spice to the Vegas opening. Some fans expressed disbelief that Trump was friends with Kardashian and spent time with her at the event. Others warned her that Kardashian didn’t support or even hated her father, former President Donald Trump and that Ivanka needed to exercise caution in dealing with the reality star.
One follower observed that Kardashian hadn’t posted any pictures with Ivanka and asked why the former Commander-in-Chief’s daughter could go anywhere near the Kardashian clan, according to Indy100. Other comments included questions asking why the former first daughter would hang out with someone who “promotes everything that is wrong with this country,” using her influence to support people who sabotage conservative ideals. Another called Kardashian a snake and asked why Trump would associate with her.
Trump supporters may have gained their distaste for Kardashian after former President Trump accused her of supporting Biden in the 2020 election in the waning days of his presidency. The reality star had sought then-President Trump’s help during his term with criminal justice reforms, an issue for which she has advocated and educated herself. She worked with the president to help draft and pass the bipartisan First Step Act, helping recently released incarcerated individuals reenter society.
Kardashian fans pointed out that their idol, Kim, seemed to be rehabilitating Ivanka Trump’s public image. Some asked whether Trump was actually out partying on a school night, given that she attempted to use that excuse to avoid testifying in her father’s New York fraud trial. Judge Arthur Engoron ruled against her appeal and told her to employ babysitters. Apparently, she used the same idea to allow her to enjoy the Las Vegas Fontainebleau opening.
