Hunter Biden Surprises as He Attends Congress Hearing

(LibertySons.org) – President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, refused to attend a closed-door deposition with House lawmakers in December. Republicans in Congress moved to hold him in contempt. The first son shocked lawmakers by showing up to a hearing about the possible contempt charges.

On January 10, the House Oversight Committee held a hearing about holding Hunter in contempt for ignoring a congressional subpoena. The president’s son shocked Republicans by walking into the hearing. His attorneys, Kevin Morris and Abbe Lowell, were with him and sat in the audience with him.

Hunter has offered to testify before the committee but refused to do so behind closed doors. He said that he would only answer questions if he’s able to do it in a public hearing. On the day of his scheduled deposition, he held a press conference on Capitol Hill and declared that he was there if Republicans wanted to swear him in for a public hearing.

Lawmakers didn’t swear the president’s son in this week either. He sat quietly in the audience as lawmakers fought with each other. But when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) began speaking, Hunter and his attorneys stood up and walked out of the room. The congresswoman laughed at him and said he was afraid of her. A person in the audience shouted at Hunter and asked him if he had smoked crack that day.

The committee ultimately voted to advance the contempt resolution.

The day after Hunter’s bombshell appearance at the hearing, he was across the country in a California courtroom for an arraignment on federal tax-related charges. The younger Biden pleaded not guilty to nine misdemeanor and felony charges accusing him of not paying $1.4 million in taxes while he lived lavishly. Judge Mark Scarsi set a trial date for June 20.

Hunter is also facing a separate indictment on felony gun charges in Delaware.
