Is Marjorie Taylor Greene Considered an ‘Enemy of the State’ in Ukraine?

(LibertySons.org) – When Congress passed funding for Ukraine earlier this spring, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) filed paperwork to vacate House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). Although her efforts failed, she has repeatedly spoken out about the funding. Recently, she claimed that Ukraine had put her on a list.

On June 10, Rep. Greene shared a screenshot on X, formerly Twitter, of what she claimed was her name on a list of enemies of the state of Ukraine. According to the congresswoman, President Volodymyr, “Zelenskyy’s thug regime” put her on the list because she has “never voted for a single penny” for the country.

Greene said the Ukrainian president “is a thug who doesn’t deserve a single American tax dollar.” She accused the country of taking money from the US and then putting members of Congress on a kill list.

“Zelenskyy is the real enemy of democracy,” Greene declared.

Newsweek reached out to the Ukrainian government to find out if the screenshot was a photo of an actual list curated by them but officials stated that no such list exists. The congresswoman has not explained where she got the screenshot from.

Greene also claimed she was banned from Russia. That does appear to be true. In 2022, the Russian Foreign Ministry released a list of 963 Americans who were prohibited from ever traveling to the country. Greene was on the list, alongside the late Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

The day following her post, Greene appeared on Steve Bannon’s “War Room.” She accused the “globalists in the DC swamp” of wanting the war to continue because they wanted to line their pockets. She promised she was going to “keep pushing for peace to end the Ukraine war” and keep America’s tax dollars at home.
