(LibertySons.org) – New York Attorney General Letitia James recently won a major lawsuit against former President Donald Trump. While she’s flying high from the win, she’s facing trouble of her own. Local leaders in one New York town are accusing the AG of bullying women.
On March 1, James sent a cease-and-desist letter to Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, demanding he immediately rescind an executive order he put in place. The order prohibited transgender women and girls from participating in sports meant for biological females at the county’s sports facilities.
The AG stated that New York law was clear: the county isn’t allowed to “discriminate against a person because of their gender identity or expression.” She called Blakeman’s order “transphobic and blatantly illegal” and demanded he rescind the order or the state would take “legal action.”
James also expressed concern that Blakeman’s order would force women and girls to be subject to “intrusive and invasive questioning and other verification requirements.” Additionally, she accused him of forcing sports teams to make a decision to either break state law or move their team somewhere else.
Blakeman responded to the AG by filing a federal lawsuit, accusing the state of “bullying” and “unconstitutionally discriminating” against girls and women. On March 18, Blakeman and Caitlyn Jenner (formerly Bruce Jenner) held a press conference about the lawsuit. The Nassau County executive said his executive order wasn’t transphobic; he was “protecting women and girls.”
Jenner, a transgender former Olympic gold winner, accused James of not having her priorities straight, calling New York a “hellscape” and pointing out the crime on the subway. National Guard troops recently took control of the subway to keep people safe.
The Conservative transgender activist said that she was concerned the “woke agenda” was going to destroy “women’s sports over the next 10 to 20 years.” She suggested they stop it while they still can.
