Jury Verdict Form in Hunter Biden Gun Case

(LibertySons.org) – In September 2023, Hunter Biden was indicted on federal gun charges for lying on a federal form when buying a Colt Cobra Special in Delaware in 2018. By checking a box on a form, Mr. Biden indicated he was not addicted to drugs at the time. Recently, the trial against him commenced, and the jury reached a verdict on the three charges against him.

On June 11, the Delaware jury found Hunter Biden guilty on all three felony gun charges — two counts of making a false statement regarding his use of illicit drugs and one count for possession of the gun itself — for 11 days. The 12-person group only took three hours of deliberation to reach its unanimous verdict. He faces up to 25 years behind bars, but as a first offender on a non-violent offense, experts anticipate a much smaller punishment.

The president’s son made a statement after the verdict. Mr. Biden said he was “more grateful today for the love and support” from his wife, family, friends, and community than he was “disappointed by the outcome” of the trial. He added some words about his recovery, stating it is only “possible by the grace of God,” and he was lucky to be on that road. He called it a “gift.”

President Joe Biden also made a statement after the jury announced its decision. He said while he is the president, he’s “also a dad.” The US leader said he and his wife “love [their] son” and are “proud of the man he is today.”

Biden said many families could relate to watching their loved ones battle addiction and “understand the feeling of pride” when that person makes it through to the other side. The president previously indicated he has no intention of pardoning his son but respects the judicial system and will stand by Hunter no matter what.

The judge has not set a sentencing date yet.
