“You’ve never seen anything like this!” Yellowstone Prequel Coming

(LibertySons.org) – The cable tv show Yellowstone has been a big hit for the Paramount Network. The program is about the Dutton family who settled in the area that is now Yellowstone National Park. They were the country’s largest ranch owners and had plenty of problems which the series highlighted as they fended off Native Americans and land developers.

On August 4, the network announced plans to release a prequel on its Paramount+ streaming series. The program’s title is 1883 and brings to light the Dutton family’s events before the timeline featured in Yellowstone.

Included in the announcement was the reveal of the actors who will star in the series, which include country royal couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. The duo will join Sam Elliott in the western drama.

McGraw excitedly told fans about the new project using his social media accounts and those of a few family members. He described the project as a “family saga” set during the early years of the Duttons’ experience out west. The program will not only cover their settling of the land but also how they traveled to Montana.

Hill will play Margaret Dutton, the family matriarch, according to a post she made on Instagram. McGraw will play the patriarch James Dutton, and Elliott will play Shea Brennan, a rough cowboy with an even rougher past.

The McGraw-Hill’s both expressed their respect for the writing of showrunner Taylor Sheridan and discussed how excited they are to work with him on this project.

Fans of Yellowstone can expect the release of 1883 sometime in late 2021.
