(LibertySons.org) – The first anniversary of the January 6 capitol riots is now behind us. But just as people are reflecting on the past year and debating what led up to last year’s conflict, the Department of Justice is taking the opportunity to announce a new army-trained unit aimed at cracking down on domestic terrorism. Is the government preparing to paint a target on everyday citizens who disagree with its actions, or is this an essential step by the DOJ?
Adding to the uncertainty, from January 22 to February 4, Army test candidates will undergo Robin Sage training at a location in North Carolina. Drills will include guerrilla warfare exercises in which troops stage a takeover of an illegal government put in place by rogue fighters.

Twitter users began questioning the timing shortly after news of the exercise broke. Some suggested it proved the Biden Administration was actively planning to defend against an uprising by the people. One user asked if the military was using this training to make troops comfortable killing other Americans.
These practices are actually nothing new. The military has a history of utilizing Robin Sage operations that stretches back to at least the 1970s. It is a drill between new and seasoned soldiers that the Army Special Forces often uses as a Special Forces Qualification test.
Still, some people wonder about the real point of this latest operation; the Posse Comitatus Act bans the military from civilian policing, considering it a threat against personal liberty and democracy. At the very least, it’s strange timing — and that’s exactly what’s leading to so much speculation.
