(LibertySons.org) – The recent indictment of former President Donald Trump has fired up Republicans across the country, with many criticizing the move as a weaponization of the justice system and a form of political persecution. Conservative journalist and media personality Megyn Kelly recently blasted the double standard surrounding Trump.
During a recent episode of “The Megan Kelly Show” on SiriusXM, the conservative commentator mentioned there was a lack of accountability when it comes to political figures such as former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Joe Biden. Kelly asked why people don’t know what the president has done with his son Hunter Biden in the past.
Kelly asked why the younger Biden hadn’t been arrested by the authorities yet. Then, answering herself, she proclaimed, “it’s because [law enforcement officials] won’t investigate.” Kelly further claimed everyone has “refused to look into” the first son’s questionable business dealing and their possible connection to the president.

Redirecting her attention, Megan continued her analysis. Turning to Clinton, she’s she noted that the former secretary of state has “been using lawyers to do her dirty work.” Kelly explained there hasn’t been a lot of movement toward investigating Clinton’s behavior. The conservative host declared that Clinton has “gotten away” with a lot.
Turning to the present, Kelly said the indictment of Trump wouldn’t be good for America. She pointed out that she wasn’t defending the former president but noted there was a “double standard.”
Continuing, Kelly told her listeners that Clinton sent her lawyers to the FBI in an attempt to get the agency to go after Trump. That maneuver eventually led to a political witch hunt. Meanwhile, Clinton intentionally destroyed documents related to her tenure as Secretary of the State that were under federal subpoenas in an attempt to conceal the truth. Despite her actions, Clinton never faced any legal consequences for her reportedly unlawful conduct.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg decided to move forward with his indictment of Trump in connection to allegations the former president paid adult actress Stormy Daniels to keep her quiet about an affair the two allegedly had. Trump has denied any wrongdoing. The former president is also facing other potential indictments in regard to his mishandling of classified information and allegations he attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
