Biden Mistakenly Refers to Kamala Harris as “Great President”

(LibertySons.org) – President Joe Biden often misspeaks or makes incorrect statements. While his administration is quick to categorize these as mistakes that anyone could make, they seem to happen way too often. His most recent gaffe was on October 24, when he referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as the president.

Biden was speaking at an event to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, when he mentioned Harris’ recent birthday, which was on October 20. He first joked she had turned 30, to much laughter, given the vice president turned 58. Then, he said to her, “happy birthday to a great president.”

This incident wasn’t the only time he’s referred to the second in command as the leader of the free world. He also said it in January and December 2021. Both times were in public. He also mistakenly referred to her as the first lady in March.

Such blunders are commonplace for the US leader. He had only recently recovered from a significant slip-up on September 28, at the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health, when he searched for the late Representative Jackie Walorski (R-IN) in the crowd. The congresswoman had died in a car accident in August, and Biden was to meet with her family later in the week.
